Sophie Turner says motherhood has affected her career

The 26-year-old Game of Thrones star recently appeared on the UnWrapped podcast, where she shared her feelings about motherhood. The actress said that she became better versed in the profession when Willa was born. Recall that this is the daughter of Sophie’s marriage to singer and member of the Jonas Brothers, 32-year-old Joe Jonas. Now the baby is 2 years old.

Also, Turner, who will soon return to television in the HBO series The Ladder, admitted that for her the choice of potential roles has expanded, because with the birth of a child she has become a much more open, emotional and empathic person.

Empathy has increased, feelings for the family simply overwhelm me. Motherhood makes me a better actress. After all, the only way to become a truly brilliant film professional is to get as much life experience as possible and bring it into your game, Turner said.

Turner and Jonas became parents on July 22, 2020. A year earlier, in May, the couple secretly got engaged in Las Vegas after the Billboard Music Awards, and a couple of months later, the lovers played an official wedding in France. The last time the couple were seen on the red carpet of the Vanity Fair magazine party at the end of March.

Sophie Turner is best known for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones. The Ladder premieres May 5 on HBO.
