Pablo Lyle received a penalty five years in prison and eight years suspended for the involuntary manslaughter of Juan Ricardo Hernández63-year-old whom he hit on a public road.
Judge Marisa Tinkler Mendez handed down the sentence at the end of a more than three-hour hearing held last Friday, Feb. 3, in state court, two months after denying Lyle’s request for a new trial and upholding a guilty verdict by a six-judge jury .
Tinkler informed him that afternoon that they have the right to appeal the decisionbut that you must do it in the next 30 days.

David Oscar Marcus, one of the actor’s lawyers, answered whether they will appeal the sentence the actor received.
” We will appeal and present it within 30 days and then start the process,” he confirmed in an interview with ‘Al rojo vivo’ last Friday.
Another of the litigants defending the 36-year-old artist said the trial was “not fair”.
“We said it from the beginning Pablo was defending his family as any parent in the world would do,” said lawyer Alejandro Sola.
However, he thought the judge’s sentence was “fair”: We are grateful to the reviewer because he made an honest decision because he thought it through,” he added.
The soap opera actor as The Shadow of the Past, which you can watch for free here on ViXHe faced a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. His lawyers asked for it to be reduced to one year.
As part of the sentence, the judge also ordered him to learn conflict resolution and 500 hours of community service.
Seated and wearing a red convict uniform and handcuffs on his wrists, Lyle heard his phrase. Shortly before he had expressed his regret for his actions.
“I’m so sorry”he said in Spanish to the Hernandez family, “it’s the most sincere apology, from my heart.”
The vehicle incident occurred in March 2019 when Lyle’s brother-in-law was driving the actor, his wife and their two children to the Miami airport.
According to security footage, Hernandez stopped his vehicle at a red light, got out and approached the driver’s side window of the car the actor was traveling in to claim he was being blocked.
Lyle’s brother-in-law got out of the car and argued with Hernandez, but when he saw that his vehicle was moving he returned to his seat. Lyle, who was in the passenger seat, then got out, ran toward Hernández and punched him in the face, according to the videos.
