Alexa Chung shows 3 simple and stylish ways to wear denim overalls

If you’ve never visited the Alexa blog, we advise you to correct yourself! This is the case when a person is gifted in everything. Writer, model, fashion designer, TV presenter, founder of her own clothing brand… We could go on and on, but time is running out – we’ve been running to get God out of the top shelves of the closet for five years already, like overalls in forgotten jeans. The stitch is small – to fit into denim, bought more than one season ago.

Interestingly, at one time denim overalls were shunned due to comparison to road workers’ uniform, they say, bad manners, high fashion and don’t smell. But after the outrageous appearances of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ronnie Wood and Whitney Houston, all analogies were immediately forgotten – everyone started wearing overalls! Lady Diana was also at the forefront of new fashionable clothes – she loved denim in principle, and she loved the practicality of things even more.

Just add a belt, Cossack boots, a voluminous jacket and gold hoop earrings – the favorite image of the British princess is ready! You can go shopping or golf (go to a restaurant as a more affordable version is also accepted). With Diana’s light hand, denim overalls have become even more popular. Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Keira Knightley, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Cameron Diaz… It’s easier to tell who didn’t wear this fashion item.

In 2019, in denim, to the delight of journalists, the heroines of street style chronicles Bella Hadid and Kylie Jenner posed at least 10 times. The choice is more than wearable: in winter we put on a sweater under it, in summer – a T-shirt. Not warm and comfortable. After the pandemic, the hype died down a bit, but then Alexa popped up on social media with her denim looks, and her expert opinion can certainly be trusted. There is only one conclusion – we will wear it!
