After dizzying achievements as creative director of the Gucci brand, Alessandro Michele is leaving the company, representatives of the French conglomerate Kering have officially announced this. According to Reuters, the reason was the disagreement between the legendary designer and the top management of the brand.

Gucci today announces that Alessandro Michele is stepping down as Creative Director of Gucci. Alessandro Michele has been at the Maison’s creative helm since January 21, 2015 and has played a fundamental role in shaping the brand into what it is today through his pioneering creativity while remaining true to the Maison’s well-known codes.

Tomorrow, November 25, by the way, the designer turns 50 years old.

Note that in total, Michele worked at Gucci for 20 years – at first he was responsible for the men’s direction, and then became creative director.
