Hulu has added six actors, including Sam Trammell and Kerry Bishé, to the recurring cast of its upcoming Prison Break reboot series.
Sean Bridgers, Chris Coy, Robin Weigert and Jean Louisa Kelly also join the cast for the upcoming drama produced by 20th Television.

The six new additions join a main ensemble that already includes Emily Browning, Drake Rodger, Lukas Gage, Clayton Cardenas, JR Bourne, Georgie Flores, Kelli Berglund and Myles Bullock.
New characters inside and outside the prison
The new version will not directly revive the storyline of original protagonists Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows. Instead, the drama presents a fresh story set within the broader Prison Break universe.
The narrative follows a former female soldier who takes a job as a corrections officer inside one of the most dangerous prisons in the United States. She takes the role to demonstrate how far she is willing to go to save someone she loves.
The newly announced roles cover a range of characters both inside and outside the correctional facility. Sam Trammell, best known for playing Sam Merlotte on the fantasy drama True Blood, will play Jarrod Boggs, a powerful man with deep roots in West Virginia.
Sean Bridgers, known for his work on the Western series Deadwood, takes on the role of Hollis, a family man working to rebuild his life. Kerry Bishé, who starred in the tech series Halt and Catch Fire, plays Mary Smith, a mysterious and dangerous inmate.
Robin Weigert, also a veteran of Deadwood, plays Chaplain Bannon, a prison minister responsible for providing support to incarcerated individuals who need it.
Political figures and dangerous inmates
Jean Louisa Kelly assumes the role of Margaret, the new matriarch of an influential political family. Chris Coy plays Mule, an inmate described by producers as dangerous and unpredictable.
Together, the additions allow the series to weave together characters connected directly to the correctional facility, inmates, political figures and external allies.
Creative team and production
Elgin James, co-creator of Mayans M.C. and writer on The Outlaws, leads the project as showrunner, executive producer and director of the pilot episode.
The series maintains key creative ties to the original Fox show, which ran in the 2000s. Dawn Olmstead, an executive producer on the original Prison Break, returns to executive produce the reboot.
Original creators and producers Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz are also attached as executive producers alongside Olmstead. Studio 20th Television handles production for Hulu.
Producers aim to construct an independent storyline while preserving the core elements of conspiracy and survival that defined the original franchise.
Hulu has not yet announced an official release date for the series, though casting for primary and recurring roles remains underway.
