Tom Six, the Dutch director behind the cult Human Centipede franchise, is releasing a documentary about his own illness and decline after suffering from multiple sclerosis in recent years, according to Variety.
The film, titled The End of Tom Six, will be self-distributed on August 15 via YouTube and on DVD.
Six’s health deteriorated after the film industry refused to release his latest feature, The Masturbators Club. His representatives said that despite enthusiastic fan reviews, an industry dominated by political correctness rejected the film. They added that the prolonged and grueling struggle accelerated his illness and damaged his body, and that he is now approaching the end of his life.
In 2015, producers of Human Centipede 3 published a synopsis for what was billed as the final installment of Six’s notorious trilogy.
