Production for the fifth and final season of the HBO Max corporate drama "Industry" began in the United Kingdom this August, with seven new cast members joining the series.

Cary Elwes, Dianna Agron, Sam Riley and Jessica Brown Findlay lead the new additions to the financial thriller, which is often considered the natural heir to "Succession" in the corporate power genre. Luke Manley, Bally Gill and Eduard Poliakov have also been cast in supporting roles.
Elwes, known for his roles in "The Princess Bride" and the "Saw" franchise, will play Padgett Stillman, an investor. Agron, best known for the musical series "Glee", has been cast as Skip Binksy, the chief financial officer of a wellness technology company.
New arrivals at Pierpoint
It is not yet clear whether Binksy's company is the same one run by Carmen Dame, a character played by Zosia Mamet whose casting was previously announced for the fifth season, or if it will be a rival firm. Mamet previously starred in the HBO comedy "Girls".
Riley, who starred in the Ian Curtis biopic "Control", takes the role of Solomon Kerr, a mysterious British businessman who made his fortune in Silicon Valley.

Brown Findlay, known for her time on the period drama "Downton Abbey", will appear as Marina St. Clair, a family friend of Sir Henry Muck. Kit Harington, famous for his role as Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones", returns to play Muck.

Rounding out the new cast members are Manley as market trader Stevie Delmonte, Poliakov as another trader named Olexij Kovalchuk, and Gill as a charismatic left-wing politician, Nikesh Shah.
Corporate power struggles
Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, "Industry" initially followed a group of young graduates competing for permanent positions at Pierpoint, a fictional London investment bank.

Over its run, the series has expanded its focus, turning the relationships between the characters and power struggles within the financial world into a complex central narrative.

While HBO has not announced an official premiere date for the final season, a release in late 2027 or 2028 is anticipated.
