British-Spanish singer Jeanette Anne Dimech, known professionally as Jeanette, will celebrate her 50-year artistic career with a concert in Lima, Peru. Jeanette began her musical history with the group Pic-Nic, achieving public notoriety with the hit Cállate, niña. In 1971, she launched her solo career with Soy rebelde, establishing her position in melodic pop.
Her song Porque te vas became an international success after it was featured in the movie Cría cuervos. She later consolidated her song repertoire with the release of her album Corazón de poeta. The upcoming show in Lima will also feature her hit El muchacho de los ojos tristes alongside her other classic tracks.
