Peruvian cumbia group La Bella Luz has announced two free concerts in Lima and Chiclayo following a misconduct complaint against its former musical director.
The group confirmed the free admission dates in a video shared on its Instagram account, framing the return to performance under the title Adiós Jamás.

The first performance is scheduled for Saturday, September 5 in the capital city of Lima. A second presentation will take place on Sunday, September 6 in Monsefú, a district in the Chiclayo province of northwestern Peru.
Organisers have not yet confirmed the specific venues for either of the free events.
The announcement comes in the wake of a formal complaint filed by band member Naldy Saldaña against former musical director César Sánchez Chavesta. Saldaña accused the musician of alleged improper touching and attempting to kiss her by force.
The allegations prompted an ongoing fiscal investigation by Peruvian authorities. Following the filing of the report, La Bella Luz stated that Sánchez Chavesta had ceased to be part of the musical ensemble.
Group social media statement
In the video posted to Instagram, current band leader Óscar Junior, also known as Senderito, appeared alongside fellow group members to address their followers.

Writing in the social media post, the group stated that returning is not always easy, but doing it together makes it possible. The ensemble also extended thanks to supporters who remained by their side throughout recent weeks, adding that they would return to the stage gradually.
Speaking in the video message, Óscar Junior said that difficult times reveal who true family is. He noted that those who stay when everyone else leaves are family, even if they do not share blood.
Peruvian cumbia context
La Bella Luz is a well-known musical orchestra within Peru's popular cumbia scene. Cumbia is a widely celebrated genre of music across South America, blending traditional rhythm styles with modern tropical band instruments.
Monsefú, located in the coastal Lambayeque region near Chiclayo, frequently hosts cultural and musical gatherings. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings involving its former director, La Bella Luz has continued with scheduled appearances while preparing for the upcoming free shows in September.
