What a Russian ballerina from the Bolshoi looks like, hidden under the mask of a sinister robot from a video game about the USSR

The Russian computer game Atomic Heart, set in an alternate USSR, where crazy robots are trying to take over people’s worlds, has already become one of the hits of the gaming season – and globally. Even those far from the game world were impressed by the visual finds of the developers: the world of Atomic Heart is inhabited by many amazing characters. And one of the symbols of the shooter was the deadly and graceful twin robots Right and Left, which have no faces, but have perfect silhouettes, red stars on their foreheads and metal braids.

All the curious new details of Atomic Heart’s creation are being clarified. And one of the most interesting questions – which of the weird and sinister characters is behind real people?

And now one of the main secrets is unlocked. It turns out that the young Russian ballerina Anita Pudikova served as the prototype for the creation of evil, but beautiful bodyguards of Comrade Sechenov, the head of the company where the robot uprising began, who formed the basis of the plot of the sensational game.

These androids, known as Left and Right, made quite an impression on the web even before the game was released – the developers showed them off in intriguing trailers. The Atomic Heart site specifies that the exoskeletons of the twin robots are “assembled on the basis of theater ballerina robots and equipped with the latest technologies”. Here’s what their appearances look like in-game:

Member of the Bolshoi Theater troupe Anita Pudikova is a Muscovite, born in 1997 into a family of artists. The girl studied at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, and soon after graduation she was admitted to the Bolshoi. We are sure that such a brilliant artist has a bright future!

Pudikova is described as a promising young member of the national ballet scene. However, Anita received some of the worldwide viral fame not through parties on the theater stage, but as a member of the team that worked on the game Atomic Heart.

The developers not only took inspiration from the slender figure of the Russian ballerina, but digitized her professional movements to give android girls amazing ballet grace. Pudikova herself talked about it in her social networks, downgrading the ins and outs of the masterfully mobile iron bodyguards.

So now fans all over the world are writing to Anita. Many Atomic Heart fans will surely want to go to the ballet to admire the beauty of the “natural habitat”. The only regret is that it is more difficult to buy Bolshoi tickets than a copy of a video game.
