“For those who suffer a lot from PMS symptoms, the practice of pilates is highly recommended, as physical exercises put a lot of strain on moving body, releasing endorphins (a hormone responsible for feelings of well-being and pleasure). Thus, symptoms such as irritability, depression, fatigue, emotional sensitivity, anxiety, among others, are reduced.”

However, the physical therapist cautions that the exercises should be done more lightly while the woman is on her menstrual cycle.
