Have you ever heard that vinegar is a great ally for various household chores?

The explanation is scientific: its main component, the Acetic acidhas high power disinfectant and degreaser – so much so that it is present in most industrialized cleaning products. Using the substance in its natural version, on the other hand, is cheaper and does not harm the environment. For the following recipes, the most recommended type of vinegar is white, alcoholic, which does not contain colorings or fruit flavourings.

Get rid of any unpleasant smell

Is the closet clean but the musty smell won’t go away? Empty the cabinet and leave a glass of vinegar inside. Is the problem the smell of cigarettes in the room? Put there a saucepan with 2/3 boiling water and 1/3 vinegar. Does the yard smell like dog pee? Wash the area with 1 quart of water, 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 tablespoon baking soda, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, and 1 tablespoon fabric softener (mixed in that order).

If the dinner atmosphere is informal, the dishes may come out of the kitchen together.  “The benefit is that guests are free to snack on their favorite snacks at any time,” explains Luiza. When using the product, you will notice a strong vinegar smell, but it will dissipate in a short time. You can clean floors, walls and even sanitary metals with it. But be careful: never apply vinegar on marble and granite.

Removing red wine stains from colored clothes is surprisingly easy with this all-in-one: just soak the fabric in pure vinegar, leave it to soak for a few minutes and rub it with water and neutral soap (the more recent the stain, the easier it will be to remove). . . The same technique can be applied to yellowish spots on the collars and cuffs of white dresses. Another benefit of vinegar is its effect of softening clothes without damaging the threads, making it a great substitute for fabric softener.
