Tea Trolley: See reasons to have one and how to use the piece

Architects Patricia Penna and Ana Rozenblit show how the tea or coffee trolley adds a special charm to the decor

When they were conceived, in Victorian England, their presence was synonymous with happy moments in the company of friends and family and their function was to support the drink consumed (and overrated) at the time: tea.

In present times, the cart continues with this essence of composing the furnishings of living environments, but with a new attribution: arranging the selection of drinks and accompanying glasses.

Where to use a bar or tea cart

The same piece was relocated by architect Ana Rozenblit to the living room. In a new arrangement, she won vases of flowers, a bottle of water and books. With this finish the faceted profile of her is evident, adapting according to the occasion and the desire of the residents.

Carts are usually light furniture, easy to handle and can be taken to different environments, always in line with the occasion. At parties and family gatherings, for example, the trolley can be used as a bar; during dinner parties, a pitcher of water can be left with glasses so guests can help themselves, as well as supporting decorative items, such as a flower arrangement.

The most accurate choice is to place the trolley in the living room or living room, as these social spaces are the vital center of a residence. In addition, the armchairs and sofas that commonly form part of these spaces serve as seating for enjoying the drinks offered in the trolley.

Cart in outdoor areas

To complete the decor of the piece, some plants have been inserted in the lower part that adorn the vertical garden near the hot tub. Thus, the trolley helps to enhance the atmosphere of relaxation and relaxation in the space, providing another possibility for entertainment on days off, weekends and holidays.

For outdoor settings such as verandas, balconies, outdoor gourmet areas, patios and gardens, trolleys are also a great choice to complement the décor. However, due to the climate, some precautions are necessary, as advised by Patricia Pena.
