Homemade Croquettes Without Frying Ingredients:

  • 200 g boneless chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (juice)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • salt
  • pepper

Ingredients for breading without frying:

  • ¼ cup (tea) of wheat flour, or as much as needed
  • 1 egg, diluted (optional) in a little filtered water
  • ¼ tbsp (coffee) paprika
  • ½ cup (tea) breadcrumbs or panko flour, or just enough to coat
  • salt
  • Oil – to taste

PRE-PREPARATION:

  1. Separate recipe ingredients and utensils.
  2. Wash and peel the garlic and chop it coarsely.
  3. Wash the lemon and squeeze the juice.
  4. Grease the pan(s) with a little oil.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

PREPARATION:

Homemade croquettes without frying:

  1. Wash the chicken and dry it with paper towels and cut it into medium cubes.
  2. Place chicken cubes, lemon juice, coarsely chopped garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper in food processor.
  3. In the pulse function, keep mixing all the ingredients until they are in small pieces, don’t let it turn into a paste.
  4. Remove from processor and using 1 tablespoon (soup) as a measure, take small portions and roll into balls.
  5. Flatten the balls, shaping them into nuggets about 1 cm high.

Homemade croquettes without frying – breading and baking:

  1. Set aside 3 bowls or deep plates.
  2. In the first one, beat the egg with a little water (optional) and add salt.
  3. In another put the flour and in the third the breadcrumbs or panko mixed with paprika.
  4. Bread the croquettes, first passing them in the wheat flour, removing the excess.
  5. Then dip them in beaten egg and drain them.
  6. Finally, wrap them in breadcrumbs or panko mixed with paprika and press well so that they are evenly coated.
  7. Put them in the freezer for 15 minutes covered with plastic wrap or, if you wish, you can freeze them at this stage to serve them on another occasion.
  8. If they are preparing to serve later, arrange them in the pan greased with oil.
  9. Place in a preheated oven at 200°C and cook for about 30 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
  10. They should be well cooked, crispy and golden brown on both sides.

FINISHING AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. OR homemade croquettes without frying it can be your main course, accompanied by a salad or as a snack together with, for example, a mustard paste.
