creamy rice porridge

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 piece of diced Calabrian sausage
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1/2 green pepper chopped
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 500 g of desalted, cooked and minced dried meat
  • 3 cups water (boiling)
  • Salt and chopped parsley to taste
  • 2 cups white rice (washed and drained)
  • 2 cups of cream cheese (400 g)
  • 1 cup mozzarella (grated)
  • 1 cup diced bacon (fried)

Method of preparation:

  1. In a frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat and fry the sausage until golden brown
  2. Add the onion, garlic, bell pepper and tomato and saute for 3 minutes
  3. Add the dried meat, rice and water, season with salt and cook over low heat, with the pan half-covered until the water has dried.
  4. Transfer the rice to a bowl, mix the green odor and curds and transfer to a medium refractory
  5. Sprinkle with the mozzarella and bake in a medium oven (180º C), preheated, for 15 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle on the bacon and serve immediately.
