Traveling gives us a lot of positive emotions. However, at the same time, any trip is a very stressful event: don’t exacerbate stress by wearing shoes that can interfere with enjoyment.
Here are some models to avoid if you want everything to go well.
flip flops and thongs
It may seem that shoes without velcro or ties, which you just have to put your foot in, are ideal for traveling, but they have significant drawbacks.
First, you can… freeze. When it’s hot outside, planes and trains tend to turn on the air conditioning, and flip-flops can be opened too much for cool rooms.
Second, even if you plan everything carefully and always set time with a margin, that doesn’t mean you won’t have to run. For example, you may be stuck in a traffic jam or reminded that you need to get home for a forgotten item.
high heel shoes
Yes, we know that’s Captain Obvious’s advice, but we can’t help but include high heels on the list. Such stilettos violate the main rule of easy travel: dress so that it is easy and comfortable to move.

Shoes difficult to put on and take off
You may need to do this at the airport through security, and if there’s a long time before boarding, you may want to take off your shoes in the waiting area. Believe me, fiddling with lots of curls at times like this is a dubious pleasure!
open toe shoes
In such sandals, as well as in slippers, you can freeze – this is the time. If it starts to rain, you will have to walk with wet feet – those are two. And finally, many modes of transport (like the bus that takes you to the plane) are usually crowded, and you can get stepped on. (We will not talk about the not so clean public toilets, where it is not very pleasant to enter with open fingers, because we want to believe that you will not cross your path!)
Shoes with metal
Because of this, getting scanned at the airport can take forever! By the way, we want to remind you that the presence of metal in shoes is far from always obvious – for example, it can sometimes be found in the arch support of even elegant, weightless sandals. So be guided by the weight – it’s better to put a heavy pair in a suitcase.
