Casting producer, Yolanda Rodrigues, who knows Kayky Brito for more than 20 years, has revealed that the kiosk located on Avenida Lúcio Costa, in Barra da Tijuca, is a traditional meeting point for artists and Kayky’s friends. The actor was on site with Bruno de Luca when, on Saturday 2, he was run over while trying to get back to the bar on the seafront.
“The kiosk is their backyard, that’s where they relax the most. These guys all lived there, in Barra, they frequented the seafront. It’s that thing of being close to home and staying there,” said Yolanda, who worked with the ‘actor in Pepper chocolate (2003) in an interview with Extra.
Kayky Brito is hospitalized in serious condition at the Copa D’Or Hospital, in Copacabana, Rio, has suffered multiple trauma and remains sedated, mechanically ventilated and hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). According to the medical bulletin released Wednesday, the actor underwent new CT scans, with signs of evolutionary improvement.
According to the producer, he still maintains contact with the artist. “It’s been a few years since he moved to Curitiba with his wife. We spoke on social media when the telenovela aired (at the end of 2022). He said he was thrilled to be back. Bernadette (the character) was a stone milestone in his career,” he concluded.
