As 2024 approaches, many of you are already planning and planning your goals and dreams that you want to achieve and enjoy.
The list of goals is long: a new car, a new love, a new job, open your own business, travel, get married, rethink your life, move away from toxic people, etc.
Wow, so many dreams and goals to achieve! But the reality for many is that they won’t get anything they want if they don’t have confirmation or blessing from a third party that everything will work out.
So I ask myself: why don’t humans have self-confidence to achieve their goals? Why do we need to ask for the approval of others for our lives to work? Why will our life work only after a guru or powerful person says it will work? Why do we need an “amen” from someone who doesn’t know us to be happy or achieve a goal or result?
Putting your successful future, your goals, your dreams and your goals in the hands of third parties is a complete lack of self-confidence and a lack of self-love.
I do not criticize anyone who consults a professional to guide you in your personal or professional life. I have been providing tarot consultancy for over 30 years. I have never said to a client “you have to do this” or “you have to act like this”. Tarot cards answer your questions by telling you the best path to take, that this choice is not the best or that this person is not trustworthy. However, the person who decides what to do is the person himself, never the tarot professional.
In fact, when someone tells me “I will do what you say”, I always say that the tarot shows your path and it is up to you to decide whether to follow it or not. You are responsible for the choice and not me, the tarot reader.
Well, if you are suffering, you must consult your doctor and he will treat you according to your disease. You decide to take it. The doctor only showed the cure.
If you’re unsure about which career to pursue or whether it’s time to open your own business, you can seek coaching to guide you in finding your path and making decisions.
If you have a problem with a school subject, you can ask your parents or teacher for help to better understand the subject. But you are the one who will study and pass the subject!
What amazes me is the number of people who want to win in life or achieve a dream or be happy, but do nothing without first consulting their “guru” or asking others for their opinion. Is it so difficult for a person to choose their own path to happiness or achieve a goal in life?
What drives a person to ask other people’s opinions on any issue in his life? We can have many answers: fear, indecision, low self-esteem, dependency or lack of courage to take risks.
Whatever the reason for this difficulty in deciding for ourselves our next step in life, we are putting our ability to win at risk. We are telling the Universe that we don’t deserve to get what we want or that we are weak. In a mind full of fears and indecisions, there is no room for dreams and achieving your goals. We doubt our ability to perform.
I don’t criticize those who are momentarily undecided and need the opinion of a third person to decide. I like to exchange opinions with other people when I have questions about a project or an article I want to write. I listen to your opinion, appreciate the learning. But I’m the one who decides.
I am critical of people who say they really want to change, grow in life, have a career, earn more, be happier, etc., but only take the next step after approval from their husband, father, wife or of the guru. Or worse, they do what the other person wants and not what they want.

I would like to give an example. I once helped Adriane in my Holistic Coaching job, who was an executive secretary who was dissatisfied with her career. And look, she had a good job, but she was discouraged by the job she had been doing for 10 years. When I asked her the reason for her discouragement, she replied very objectively: “it’s not the profession I chose”.
It was the profession she did because her mother made her do a second technical degree in secretary and an executive secretarial college, because her mother said it was a great job for a woman.
And Adriane took her mother’s advice and stopped pursuing the career she had always wanted: Interior Design.
Today Adriane was a good professional, but unhappy. During the coaching sessions she decided to take courses in the field of decoration and prepare to change career in the future. You will use the executive secretarial service to pay for your courses.
After starting the courses, she decided to try working as a secretary at a furniture company. She decided that it would be easier for her to already be in the fashion world. A good idea. No, coaching didn’t tell her what to do. The coaching made her think about what to do and she decided.
And no one needs anyone to decide anything. You just need to know what you want, how to get it, and move forward with your plans until you achieve victories. Never doubt yourself, your ability to achieve, and your worthiness to achieve. Always remember that “the Universe conspires in your favor”.
But the universe, life and good energies want you to first decide what you really, truly want.
