Danilo Gentili diagnosed with autism, but ignores the tests: “I don’t want to know”

Danilo Gentili revealed that he was diagnosed with autism, but preferred not to delve into the tests to find out which level he falls into. The topic was addressed in the program “La Noite”, during an interview with the presenter Amanda Ramalho, who is also on the autistic spectrum.

“You knew I was too [diagnosticado]? It’s been about a year, I took a test and they diagnosed me with autism spectrum disorder. They told me that I would have to do other check-ups to see what the level was, but I didn’t want to. If I’m autistic I don’t want to know, I’m already like that and it’s gone,” the communicator declared.

Amanda, in turn, commented on the late diagnosis and some characteristics that she experiences due to the disorder, while Gentili demonstrated that she is also dealing with physical and functional changes in the brain. “When I received this [diagnóstico], I said, ‘Man, I need to communicate.’ For example, I can’t look you in the eyes much, I look at you because I already know you. But for a long time, for many, I didn’t look because it gave me anguish, […] It makes me lose my mind”, explained the presenter. “It’s hard to try to have the social life you need”, said Gentili regarding the hyperattention to activities.
