Neuroyoga: discover the multidisciplinary health technique

The Method offers new support to improve well-being and emotional balance

Originating more than 5 thousand years ago, yoga is a spiritual discipline that is defined as an activity aimed at the evolution of man. To achieve this, the technique uses postures, controlled breathing practices and meditation that make the body and mind work interconnectedly, which helps control anxiety, muscle pain and stress.

For this reason, even after many years since its inception, the method continues to be popular among people, which has led to new studies to understand its effects, as well as providing the practice with a more scientific bias, which serves as the basis for new techniques, such as neuroyoga.

What is neuroyoga?

Neuroyoga is an innovative approach that combines elements of traditional yoga, such as asana, pranayama, meditation and concentration. With scientific advances in understanding the brain and nervous system, the practice aims to improve mental health, cognition, emotional control and stress response. By integrating these principles, the technique offers a powerful approach to improving well-being by promoting balance between mind and body.

The association between yoga and neuroscience enhances the results of the practice

Scientifically proven practice

Neuroyoga was developed and has been worked on for about two years by Kaiut Yoga, the Brazilian institute responsible for the development of method which bears the same name and is a national pioneer in using neuroscience principles with yoga. The technique is signed by Dr. Fabiano de Abreu Agrela, post-doctoral in neuroscience and scientifically proven in a study published in the scientific journal “Contribuciones a las ciencias sociales”.

According to Ravi Kaiut, yoga teacher, naturopath and master’s student in neuroscience, the association between yoga and neuroscience allows you to improve your results. “When you better understand the effects of yoga techniques on brainit is possible to direct the approaches used and obtain better results not only in physical health, but also in mental health, which generates an improvement in general health and a better quality of life for patients, as we can attest both scientifically and through experience daily”, concludes The Specialist.
