Ingredients POTATO SALAD WITH TUNA
– 4 units of potatoes, medium, peeled.
– 1 can(s) solid canned tuna (or tuna in olive oil (canned))
– 1 piece of diced gala apple (or green apple)
– lemon to taste (drops) (optional)
– pitted green olives to taste (or green olives)
– extra virgin olive oil to taste or use the olive oil from the can of tuna + a little more if necessary
– Salt to taste

PREPARATION:
- This recipe has a good yield: in the photo the recipe was prepared for 4 portions.
- Separate the utensils and ingredients for the recipe.
- Peel the potatoes with a knife or potato peeler. Divide it into 4 parts and place it in a transparent plastic bag. Pierce the bag and cook in the microwave on high power for 8 minutes.
PREPARATION:
Potato salad with tuna:
- Once the potatoes are cooked, keep them in the microwave off for another 8 minutes, to finish cooking, without overcooking them: they should be cooked, but firm, without falling apart.
- Remove the potatoes from the plastic bag, place them on a cutting board and let them cool.
- In the meantime, cut the apple(s) into cubes. If necessary, add a few drops of lemon to prevent them from oxidizing.
- Drain the tuna. If you use olive oil, reserve it for dressing the salad. Break it up well so it’s very loose and easier to mix.
- Remove the stones from the olives (if you purchased them), cut them into slices.
- Once the potatoes are cold, cut them into small cubes.
Potato salad with tuna – Assembly:
- Place in a bowl: the diced potatoes, the drained tuna, the chopped apple(s) and the sliced ​​and pitted olives.
- Season with salt, pepper.
- Add the olive oil.
- Mix everything very well.
- Transfer to a serving dish, cover with cling film and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- Serve the potato salad with tuna on a serving platter as an appetizer or side dish.
