Discover how to stay calm with a powerful exercise to regain your emotional center
End of the year or end of the world? That’s the question that’s hanging in the air right now, isn’t it? So, in this article, I share a powerful exercise to help you stay calm during the end-of-year craziness.
After all, markets are increasingly crowded, shopping centers and car parks are full, beauty salons have no opening hours, various parties and appointments, chaotic traffic, gifts to buy…
In addition to this, many people with feelings of anguishdespair, agony… and declining emotional health.
In this article here, I explained how to prepare your emotional state for 2024 in 4 steps. Now, I want to help you escape this “herd effect” and find your center again at the end of the year.
The importance of your “center”
Did you notice that in the sentence above I said “find your center” instead of “stay calm”, as in the title of this article? It’s because our calm resides in our center, and that’s where I want to take you.
To do this, I want you to imagine with me a very explicit example to understand this story of calm vs. center.
- Probably, when you were a child, those traveling amusement parks arrived in your city.
- In these circuses there was a toy called “Samba”, as you can see illustrated in the image below.
- This toy pretends to be a giant tambourine, which rotates attached to a center.
- We children sat on the edge of the tambourine, on the outskirts of that center, where it swings a lot, and that was the game: swinging wildly!
- But, sometimes, there would be a clown or a park employee standing in the center of this ride, having total balance, dancing and playing.
- Why? Since the center does not oscillate, in the center we find stability.
I have given this very literal example so that you can understand that when we embark on this end-of-year madness, it is because we have left our center and are moving towards the periphery, entering the emotions of others and an illusion of haste created by the human mind.
In case you don’t already know me, I’m the co-founder of a therapeutic system called Emotional Liberationcreated primarily because I understood that all our problems and challenges have an emotional component.
But when we find the emotion blocked, we can release it and, together with it, the flow of solutions for our life is also released.
Exercise to stay calm during the end-of-year madness
To help you de-stress and stay calm during this end-of-year madness, I have a powerful exercise you can do whenever you want.
As soon as you notice the first signs of stress, irritation, anxiety or distress. Or, if you feel like you’re speeding up and still can’t keep up with your schedule, follow the step-by-step guide below.
- Turn your attention to your body, place one of your hands on the place on your body where you feel stress arising (usually the upper or middle part of the chest, or the abdomen and belly) and say to yourself (mentally or out loud if possible): “It’s okay. You have all the time in the world. The world won’t end. I’m here for you, no matter what. It’s okay.”
- And start to imagine all these parts of you that have spread out there, that are on the periphery of your being, away from your center, coming back to you.
- Imagine a ray of light at the center of your body, from the base of your spine to the top of your head, gathering and drawing back all those parts of you that now return to the center and strengthen you.
This exercise is very powerful and I am sure it will align you deeply. Try and let me know (call me on Instagram) How were you afterwards!
Take advantage and immediately send this article to all the people you want to see well and aligned at the end of the year.
