The nutritionist explains that episodes of gas, bloating and even candidiasis can worsen because of this.

Fruit is a food that spoils quickly if it is not consumed soon or if it is stored poorly. When a fruit has a moldy part, many people have the habit of removing that part with a knife and consuming the rest.

Nutritionist Fernanda Nahas warns of the risks of consuming fruits like this. In a post on Instagram she explains that episodes of gas, bloating and even thrush can get worse because of this.

“There is no point in removing the mold and consuming the fruit, as it is completely contaminated with microorganisms,” he warns.

According to the professional, these microorganisms, such as fungi and bacteria, have the potential to intensify digestive problems.

“The fungus does not only consist of the visible part. When it is possible to observe it on the surface of food, its colony is already well developed inside, where harmful substances called microtoxins are produced, which vary depending on the background species. it is better to always be cautious,” he adds.
