Italy launches tie collection in honor of Berlusconi

In total the craftsman Damiano Presta created 36 models

Italian craftsman Damiano Presta has launched a new line of ties in honor of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away in June.

The tailor maintained relations with Berlusconi from 2012 until his death, as the former prime minister wore Presta ties and introduced the accessory to some famous friends, such as Vladimir Putin, George Bush and Barack Obama.

The conservative politician even ordered numerous ties and scarves for women, especially as gifts.

“Some time ago I asked permission to sell ties with his name and he told me: ‘I authorize it, but it will have to be called Cravatte Berlusconi’. So I started working on this project and created some very particular pieces, full of details and inspired by his favorite designs,” Presta explained.

The collection dedicated to the former head of the Italian government is made up of 36 pieces, three for each year of friendship between Berlusconi and the craftsman.

The ties from the collection, which is limited, are sold for 220 euros (around R$ 1,100).

The businessman died last June at the age of 86 from chronic leukemia, after having dominated and polarized Italian public life for decades. .
