In the next two weeks, from 18 to 30 December, the city of São Paulo will host the São Paulo Best Week, an action that encourages establishments to offer discounts and promotions to their customers, relaunching the tourism sector at the end of the year.
Inspired by other themed weeks already taking place in the capital, such as Sao Paulo Fashion Week and Restaurant Week, Businessmen, SPTuris and the Municipality of São Paulo have created this event celebrating the 470th anniversary of the city, which will be celebrated on January 25th.
“We want to encourage commerce and services in the quietest two weeks of the year, when normally there is a decrease in activity,” explains Gustavo Pires, president of São Paulo Turismo.
Among the participating shops there are brands such as Cacau Brasil, Chilli Beans Outlet and Banca Pacaembu, shops that will offer a 10% discount during the two weeks of the campaign.
In the field of gastronomy, the week will see protagonists such as Bar Brahma (20% discount from 18/12 to 22/12 and from 26/12 to 29/12, from 11.30am to 6pm), the La Casserole restaurant (free dessert ordering a starter and a main course) and Esther Rooftop, who will offer a glass of sparkling wine to visitors who come to SPBW.
Free Entrance
The best part of the countryside, however, are the guided tours with free entry.
Cultural spaces, for example, will have free entry on some dates of initiatives, such as the Ipiranga Museum (20 and 27 December), the MASP (19 and 26/12), the Museu Catavento (19 and 26/12) and the Portuguese Language Museum (23 and 30/12, from 9:00 to 16:30).
Commercial establishments have also entered the SPBW list, such as Parque da Mônica, which will offer a 20% discount, from 18 to 30 December, and Roda Rico, which will have half price for everyone, on 20, 21, 27 and December. 28, from 9:00 to 13:00.
