Citrus smoothie for immunity
Total time: 15 minutes | Servings: 2 shakes | Calories: 356kcal
ingredients
- 1 cup frozen mango chunks
- 1 lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
- 1 small raw beetroot, chopped
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 orange or grapefruit, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
- Honey to taste (optional)
Preparation method
In a blender, combine the mango, lemon juice, turmeric, cayenne pepper, ginger and orange juice. Blend until smooth, adding more honey if necessary to sweeten. Pour into a tall glass. Combine the beets, raspberries, orange juice and pomegranate. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more pomegranate juice if necessary to reach the desired consistency. Pour in the mango mixture and stir gently to swirl. Top with seeds, if desired.
