Some changes may seem difficult at first, but they are possible
How to have healthier habits and routines? It’s common to say “next week I’ll start a diet, I’ll go back to the gym, I’ll pay more attention to myself, I’ll take better care of my relationships”, etc.”
We usually do these projections, but we have enormous difficulty initiating these changes and, once they begin, incorporating them into our new routines.
Continuity is essential
A healthy lifestyle means continuing the proposal you make to yourself. We human beings have a certain tendency to settle down, to adapt to a comfort zone.
Anything that threatens this comfort zone can generate a certain laziness and resistance: “Ah, I will have to give up some foods, I will have to force myself to do physical activity, I will have to take some time to take care of myself and realize how I feel ?”
You are right. These questions may seem a little more difficult at first, or may even seem like unattainable goals, but they are achievable.
It changes little by little
These issues, which we call modifiable lifestyle factors and which can lead to better well-being, quality of life and health, require us to take the initiative.
This start doesn’t have to be very ambitious, you can proceed step by step, so you don’t get frustrated with a project you can’t accomplish.
As we make these transformations, they can be incorporated into our new routine. The start of the year inspires us to think about these possibilities, so take advantage of them!
