Baked carbonara rice recipe

Preparation time: 1 hour

Performance: 8 servings

Difficulty level: easy

Ingredients:

  • 250 g diced bacon
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • 1 jar of ready-made tomato sauce
  • 1 cup (tea) water
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups grated mozzarella
  • Margarine for greasing
  • 50 g of grated parmesan for sprinkling
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green chili pepper to decorate

Preparation method:

  1. In a large pan, over medium heat, brown the bacon in its own fat and brown the onion and garlic.
  2. Add the tomato sauce, water, salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix with rice until thoroughly heated.
  4. Transfer to a greased medium baking sheet.
  5. Beat the eggs with the milk, pour over the rice, add the mozzarella, mix quickly, sprinkle with the parmesan and cook in a medium preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the egg mixture has dried and the cheese has melted.
  6. Decorate with the green perfume and serve immediately.
