The project by the MAB3 architecture studio for the Graded School was created by Zénite Arquitetura & Construção
A Zénite Architecture and construction accepted the challenge of bringing the project conceived by the architecture studio to life MAB3 for the new Library of the Elementary School a Elementary School, in Sao Paulo. This undertaking required a program aimed at creating comfortable, playful and ergonomic spaces to house the vast physical collection of books.
The attention to creating environments specifically designed for reading is evident in the use of drywall in the ceilings, sculpting organic shapes that provide a unique atmosphere.
One of the most obvious differences of the work is the application of joinery which, in addition to containing books, also plays a primary role as a decorative element integrated into the design of the project. The internal landscaping was not neglected and received special attention with the creation of planters in organic formats which harmonize with the lush greenery of the external area.
Under the direction of the lighting of Queen Bruni, the lighting creates a particular scenic effect which, at the same time, is pleasant and restful for the users of the space. Various furniture, such as sofas, armchairs and poufs, help create a creative and welcoming environment.
Woody vinyl flooring completes the fluid integration of the environment and offers essential characteristics of resistance, safety and ease of maintenance. Considering the needs of the large daily flow of library users, the decision was strategic to ensure durability and practicality.
Also noteworthy is the efficiency of Zénite Arquitetura & Construção in respecting short execution times deliver the complete work in 45 days, in full compliance with the customer’s budget. The work also incorporated innovative technological resources and stands out for the application of fiber optics in the ceilings to create lighting reminiscent of a starry sky.
