Ingredients:

  • 1kg diced chicken breast
  • 1 tablespoon powdered poultry seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 slice Calabrian sausage, sliced
  • 1 seedless tomato chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 cooked carrot diced
  • 1/2 cup cooked and chopped green beans
  • 1 cup diced boiled potatoes
  • Salt, black pepper and chopped parsley to taste
  • 1 cup grated cheese (tea)

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 2 cups milk (tea)
  • Salt and grated nutmeg to taste

Preparation method:

  1. Season the chicken with the seasoning powder.
  2. In a pan, over medium heat, heat the oil and fry the chicken until golden brown.
  3. Add the peppers and brown them for 5 minutes, stirring.
  4. Add the tomato, onion and sauté for 3 minutes.
  5. Add the carrot, green beans, potato, salt, pepper, parsley and cook until softened.
  6. Transfer to a medium baking dish and set aside.
  7. For the sauce, in a pan over medium heat, melt the butter, sprinkle with flour and quickly fry, stirring.
  8. Pour in the milk, stirring until it thickens.
  9. Turn off the heat, season with salt, nutmeg and spread over the chicken.
  10. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in a preheated medium oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Remove and serve.
