Everyone has heard of Ozempic, which has become synonymous with the “wonder drug” against obesity, although it was developed as a medicine for diabetics to control blood sugar.
It has become fashionable to take Ozempic. Not only among those who really suffer from obesity, but among many who are fit, but just want to lose a few pounds without making an effort. And it’s an expensive trend, affordable for few people.
The problem is that Ozempic has several side effects. The most common are diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, constipation, stomach pain, skin discoloration and hair loss. And it can have much more serious effects.
All this is still little compared to the new threat that is spreading on social media: “alternative” versions of the drug, which are much cheaper. There is everything from counterfeit Ozempic to “natural Ozempic”, all dangerous scams and generally ultra-laxatives that can be very harmful to your health.
In the video I comment on the arrival in Brazil of what they already call “TikTok’s Ozempic”.
