The EMTU-operated service travels between airports on buses with Wi-Fi and reclining seats

One of the most convenient and undoubtedly cheapest ways to reach Guarulhos airport, in the South Zone of St. Paul, is by the CPTM train, which leaves from Barra Funda station every hour. The path between the Guarulhos airport and the Congonhas Airport north of the capital, it does not have the convenience of a train, but you can travel the 35 kilometers that separate them on board an executive bus from Airport bus service .




The service is managed by the Metropolitan Urban Transport Company of São Paulo (EMTU). The buses have two seats per row, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, bathroom and offer mineral water to passengers. There are no baggage or weight limits.

Furthermore, traveling with pets is permitted. Medium-sized dogs and cats can be transported in carriers with maximum dimensions of 41 x 36 x 33 cm.

Departures occur every 40 minutes. The first exit inside Guarulhos airport takes place at 6am and the last one at 10.30pm, both at Terminal 3. Congonhas Buses depart from the lower level, heading down the arrivals ramp, first at 6.20am and finally at 10.50pm. The journey between the airports takes 1h20.

The ticket costs R$43.90, but is occasionally sold at promotional prices on the online platform. Tickets can be purchased on the Buson website, where it is necessary to fill in the “Departure from where?” field. and “Going where?”, as well as the date you plan to travel.

Then simply click “Search Tickets” and select your desired time from the options on the Airport bus service . You can check them on the transport network website. You can select a seat from the 42 available.

On the site the payment methods are credit card, PIX and bank transfer. To board with a ticket purchased online, simply present the digital ticket and a photo ID on your mobile phone.

Debit cards and cash are only accepted in person at points of sale inside the airports. It is also possible to purchase the ticket directly from the driver up to 10 minutes before boarding.
