Oriental potatoes, with soy sauce and honey: a friend’s recipe with which you can prepare easy and incredible dishes




Potatoes with an oriental flavour, cooked and with delicious soy sauce and honey

Recipe for 4 people.

cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

Ingredients SHOYU POTATOES AND HONEY

– 500 g of small potatoes (ball type), unpeeled and whole

– 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce

– 2 tablespoons of honey

– 1 cup(s) chicken broth (or water)

– 2 cups of water

– salt to taste (optional)

Ingredients for finishing and decorating

– chopped parsley to taste

– green onion chopped to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  2. Wash the potatoes well to remove all residues from the skin.
  3. Wash and dry the parsley or spring onion, chop them and set them aside on absorbent paper.

PREPARATION:

Potatoes with Shoyu and Honey:

  1. Place the washed potatoes, light soy sauce and honey in a pan.
  2. Add chicken broth (optional). If you don’t have chicken broth, replace it with water.
  3. Then top up with more water (see quantity in ingredients, or enough to cover).
  4. Once it boils, reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and cook for about 20 minutes.
  5. When the potatoes are soft, reduce the heat to low, uncover and let the broth reduce, thicken and caramelize.
  6. Turn off the heat and mix the potatoes well so that they are covered in the caramelized mixture.
  7. If necessary, add salt.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Reorder potatoes with soy sauce and honey on a serving plate or, if you prefer, distribute it on plates next to your main course.
  2. Top with chopped parsley or green onion.
