Until August 10th Summer for the City promotes free shows, parties, concerts and open-air cinema
For three months, the Lincoln Center In New York will be filled with concerts, parties, classical music performances, dance lessons and film screenings as part of the third edition of the festival Summer for the city .
The program includes events seven days a week until August 10th. There are more than 200 free programs and some paid activities, such as The Dream Machine virtual reality experience with shows and games.
A huge outdoor dance floor was set up with a three meter diameter light globe, where silent recordings , i.e. parties where you listen to music with headphones. The evenings will be dedicated to salsa, lindy hop, disco, country, hip-hop and dancing.

Below the dance floor, a bar was created with an underground stage for stand-up performances and poetry performances.

In Damrosch Park there is a 2,500-seat amphitheater to show outdoor films on Thursdays and Fridays in June and July. To date, the trilogy of Before the sunset, Black Swan, fuck AND RRRnominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song in 2023.
The outdoor space will also be used for concerts. One of these will be the choir of 75 people The Breathing Ritual is the Rite to Resist which will remember the brutal murder of Eric Garner by a police officer in 2014.

There are also spaces to escape the summer sun and relax, like the greenhouse-like garden in Damrosch Park and the coffee shop in Hearst Plaza. The activities for children, in fact, take place in the garden where the little ones can attend narrative and musical theater shows.

Food is provided by the Lincoln Center Night Market, open Wednesday through Sunday serving vegan burgers, seafood, and Lebanese, Mexican and Japanese cuisine.
