Greek actor Fanis Mouratidis has revealed that his extreme absent-mindedness once led him to walk all the way to school carrying his children's schoolbags while completely forgetting to bring the children themselves.
Speaking during an appearance on the morning entertainment show Happy Day, Mouratidis described his distractibility as his single biggest flaw and shared how his family regularly copes with his forgetful habits.
Mouratidis explained that whenever he leaves home, he routinely turns back three separate times to retrieve items he has left behind. He noted that he might step outside with his mobile phone, realize he forgot his headphones, return to grab both, and then discover he left his house keys inside, forcing him to ring the doorbells so someone will let him back in.
He added that everyone around him is well aware of his routine and expects him to reappear within five minutes of departing. Mouratidis said it was a fact that he once walked to school carrying only the schoolbags without his children, describing the incident as a trauma he offered them with great generosity.

The actor also opened up about his relationship with his wife, fellow Greek actress Anna Maria Papaharalambous. Mouratidis stated that he does not complain to his wife at home, explaining that he complains about everything else outside the house to vent his frustration so that he can leave their home environment entirely complaint-free.
Mouratidis and Papaharalambous are one of the most widely recognized acting couples in Greek television and theater. Mouratidis has built an extensive acting career spanning popular television series, stage productions, and feature films, while Papaharalambous gained nationwide fame in prominent television dramas before the couple married.
Despite his persistent forgetfulness, the actor expressed relief that he still manages to remember his way back home every time, even if it requires several attempts to step through the front door.
