A different snack: tapioca popcorn, or “tapipoca” – few ingredients and an irresistible crunch
A different popcorn, tapioca based, super crunchy, impossible to eat just one!
Recipe for 2 people.

cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml
Tapipoca Ingredients in the Airfryer:
– 120 g granulated tapioca (cannot be tapioca starch)
– 180 ml of hot water
– 1 tablespoon(s) of olive oil
– 1/4 teaspoon of sweet paprika ab
– Salt to taste
PREPARATION:
- Place a kettle on the stove to heat the water until lukewarm.
- Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
PREPARATION:
Tapioca – Hydrated:
- Place the granulated tapioca in a bowl, add the warm water and mix.
- Cover with a clean cloth and let sit for 15 minutes to hydrate.
Tapipoca – Modeling:
- Using a spoon, mix the tapioca so that it resembles hydrated, firm but still moist gum.
- Add the olive oil, paprika and salt and incorporate with your hands to mix the mixture well.
- When the dough is smooth, divide it into portions and make popcorn-sized balls.
Tapipoca in the Airfryer – Cook:
- Preheat the Airfryer to 200°C.
- Arrange the balls in the equipment basket, without overlapping them, leaving a small space between them to allow air circulation.
- Place the basket in the drawer of the Airfryer preheated to 200ºC.
- Close the drawer and bake for 15 minutes, until the tapipoca is crispy.
- Shake the basket halfway through cooking.
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- It is used for tapicorn in the Airfryer still hot and you hear the crunch, the crunch!!!!!
- Like popcorn, it gets rubbery after a while.
