Sweet tamale recipe

Time: 1 hour

Performance: 10 servings

Difficulty: easy

ingredients:

  • 12 ears of green corn
  • 1 cup (tea) of water
  • 1 cup finely grated coconut
  • 2 cups sugar (tea)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Preparation method:

  1. Grate the cobs or cut them close to the cob.
  2. Blend in a blender together with the water.
  3. Place the dough in a bowl and mix together the coconut, sugar and salt.
  4. Fold a corn husk into a cup, put some dough in it and then, with another straw, make another cup, close it and tie it with string.
  5. Meanwhile, fill a large pot with water and bring to the boil.
  6. When boiling, add the tamales, one by one, and cook for 40 minutes, removing the tamales with a slotted spoon.
  7. Then serve hot or cold.
