Good for Dogs, the French Capital Gains Paddock Where Dogs Are King
It’s not just the Olympics that are shaking up Paris. The pet world is also buzzing: it has the first spa for dogs and cats, a bar with an exclusive menu for dogs and, now, the first paddock.
Doggo’s House (@(doghouseparis) inaugurated in the XVI, the arrondissement of the French capital that concentrates the Arc de Triomphe, the Roland Garros stadium, the Trocadéro and the Bois de Boulogne. It is near this park that the canine novelty is located.
The colorful boulangerie is especially welcoming to four-legged friends. In addition to being spacious and with sofas of scalable height, Casa del Doggo offers the Doggoccino (€4), a version of the pupuccino, a special cream-based drink that is trendy for them, just like the frappuccino with coffee and vanilla was for humans centuries ago.
Until the opening of the restaurant, no one had taken the concept of canine padoca so seriously: “We have an adapted dessert menu, which includes cakes, crepes and biscuits, we have special waffles and other canine delicacies”, says Clara Zambuto.
Behind the chatter and the idea, she usually welcomes customers with her spitz Ulk in tow. Your fruit cupcakes can contain peanut butter, banana and strawberry, but never food coloring (€5). The waffles are heart-shaped and filled with meat (€4). The shortbreads are customizable (€2). They are all healthy.
In addition to treats, the dogs have access to a playroom (where they can interact with each other in complete safety), a boutique, and a bathing service with the promise of a “perfect look.” Humans are not short of treats, but here is the owner’s advice: “Those who don’t have one, but love dogs, can come, of course, but the ideal is to allow your companion to benefit from this place designed for them. “
