At the end of last month, in less than three weeks since its release, the new animated film from Pixar studios had already grossed $1 billion at the global box office. Exactly one week ago, in Brazil alone, it amounted to almost R$362 million.

In a note sent to the Travel at a rateTHE The Walt Disney Company Brazil reported that the sequel to the Disney and Pixar animated film has just broken all box office records in the country.

In less than a month since its premiere, ‘Inside Out 2’ is the first film in the history of Brazilian cinema to surpass 20 million viewers, surpassing hits like ‘Avengers: Endgame’, which attracted 19.7 million people to Brazilian cinemas in 2019.

Another record for ‘Inside Out 2’ is the amount of ticket sales it has achieved in Brazil: R$ 400 million in revenue, even surpassing the film starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man: R$ 339 million collected.

“This achievement is a great celebration of all the teams who have worked hard to bring joy to as many fans as possible,” said Renato D’Angelo, General Manager of The Walt Disney Company Brazil.

The production currently underway is the sequel to 2015’s ‘Inside Out’ and returns to the mind of Riley, now a teenager, when the control center is suddenly demolished to make way for new emotions: Anxiety, Shame, Boredom and Envy.
