BODY: ‘We set limits and charge less,’ says Amanda Meirelles about mental health on social media


The BBB 23 champion was one of the participants in the BODY event, which brought together several personalities in debates in São Paulo.

The BODY (Body Open Define You) event held its third edition in Sao Paulo on October 26 and brought together several prominent personalities to discuss self-acceptance and mental health challenges.

Created by Ju Ferraz and Carol Veras, the movement aims to spark conversations about freedom and the role of women in society. The meeting took place at the PHD Rooftop, located in the building designed by architect Ruy Ohtake.

Among the guests, the doctor and winner of Big Brother Brasil 2023, Amanda Meirelles, who participated in a panel together with Ju Ferraz, Mari Mendes, Cris Guterres and Dandara Pagu.



In the conversation they addressed the topic of mental health in the context of social networks. Amanda, who suffered greatly during and after her exposure to reality TV, stressed the importance of conscious use of the platforms.

“To have mental health on social media we need to consume content responsibly, impose limits and charge less,” he commented.

Active on her social networks, Amanda Meirelles uses her influence to raise awareness of relevant topics, particularly those related to mental and emotional well-being.

With two dedicated phases – BODY and Body and Alma – BODY 2024 brought debates on essential topics, such as Free Body, Plural Fashion, Ageless Beauty, Financial Freedom, Menopause, Digital Influence, Regionalism and Entrepreneurship.

One of the novelties of this edition was the mentoring room, which allocated around 30% of the tickets to the invited social institutions. The initiative strengthened BODY’s commitment to social impact projects, offering support for initiatives that aim to promote inclusion and strengthen causes relevant in 2024.
