The Hawaiian singer could not resist the flavors of Minas Gerais cuisine and even gave gifts to the waiters and bar staff where he appeared as a surprise
Bruno Mars spent about two hours at Tizé Bar and Butequim, in Belo Horizonte, last Saturday (2), and took the opportunity to try the best of Minas Gerais cuisine. Site manager Robson Bernardino provided the details Taste about the singer’s visit to the venue, which included a generous “tip”.
“There was nothing agreed, nothing prepared and, out of nowhere, he arrived here in Tizé. He arrived with about four, five security guards and he arrived and entered, which is a more private place. He immediately ordered beer, caipirinha, ordered tropeiro beans, a belly crackle, which goes with some tropeiro beans,” he explained.
Next, Bruno tried ricotta with spiced molasses: cloves, cinnamon and lemon. “He really liked it too. And he stayed there for about a few hours, two and a half hours, drinking his beer, smoking a cigarette with a straw, and then he left waving to the audience, who went crazy,” added the manager.
The bill was around R$600, but the singer also gave the manager four “tip” tickets for the show that will take place this Tuesday (5) at the Mineirão stadium. One of the lucky ones was the waiter Matheus Mourthé, who served the group.
Tickets sold for the Mineirão show cost R$625 (half price senior) or R$1,250 (full price). In other words, when added together, the “tip” amounts to R$5,000.
“I never imagined this in my life, that I would be serving Bruno and then, out of nowhere, the guy appears here and causes confusion among the people who were here. His brother was also already at the bar, and other members of the group also the band “the manager said.
