Raisin and chestnut cake

Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 cup chocolate powder (tea).
  • 1 cup of oil (tea).
  • 1 cup milk (tea)
  • 3 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 1 cup Brazil nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup seedless white raisins
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing
  • Honey to accompany

Preparation method:

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, chocolate powder, oil, milk and egg yolks and mix with a wire whisk.
  2. Add the yeast, chestnuts and raisins and mix with a spoon.
  3. Add the whipped egg whites and mix gently.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured 25cm x 35cm baking pan and bake in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes.
  5. Leave to cool and serve with honey.
