Honey bread donut

Time: 2 hours (+30 minutes of rest)

Performance: 10 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 45 g of organic yeast
  • 1/2 cup (tea) sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup of oil (tea).
  • 2 cups (tea) of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon clove powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon powdered nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate powder (tea).
  • 1kg of wheat flour
  • 2 cups chopped walnuts

Coverage:

  • 300g melted semi-sweet chocolate

Preparation method:

  1. Place the yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl and mix well until it becomes liquid.
  2. Add the honey, oil, water, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, chocolate and mix well.
  3. Add the flour little by little until it no longer sticks to your hands while kneading.
  4. Work the dough well, add the nuts and knead again.
  5. Leave to rest for 20 minutes or until the dough doubles in volume.
  6. Form the bread, place it in a 30 cm diameter pan with a hole in the center and let it rest for another 10 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated medium oven for 45 minutes or until cooked through and lightly browned.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool, remove from the mold and cover with melted chocolate. If desired, decorate with nuts.
