“We don’t need a very large space, but the context is harmonious with the presence of a suspended piece,” he adds. He also ensures that the ethereal effect of the furniture is permanent, regardless of where you want to place the furniture.

The swings are installed directly on the concrete slab of the building, so if the ceiling is plaster or even wood, reinforcement is required.

“You need to know if the structure supports the strength of the scale, plus the weight of a seated resident. This calculation helps us to consider safety,” explains Ana of the first step of installing a piece of furniture in a space.

Warnings accompany the verification of the technical characteristics specified by the manufacturer. As for the shape, the main thing is the bubble, rounded like a soap bubble.

With numerous variations, both with a more rectangular design and with wider seats and armrests, the choice should be centered on the one that most pleases the user, since the swing will be a place of welcome and protection.

As for the material, the decision is in line with the chosen environment. “It depends on the context … For the interiors, the upholstered leather goes very well with the proposal to make it an aerial armchair and, on the balconies, the nautical rope lends itself to its resistance to rain and intense sun.

However, this is not a rule, as the material also looks good on the inside, ”says Ana.
