The exhibition lasts until March […]
Since the end of last year, the Santander Farol, in the historic center of San Paolo, hosts the exhibition “Two wheels and a nation”, a time trip through more than 50 bicycles.
The show is exhibited on the 19th and 20th floor, and in the room of the Cultural Center, in environments that cover more than 120 years in the history of this means of transport, the emergence of the motorcycle and the competitions in the country to date.
“The Brazilian is an affection from two wheels and a show of this reach was missing in Brazil. After all, we have a great consumption market, people who bring a lot of history on bike, relationships that could be shared and recorded for the future generations”, describes the curator Carlãozinho Coachman, in a note sent to Trip to the agenda.
The collection presents pieces of family collections, historical facts and in particular people.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to interact with multimedia resources and engaging and sensory nuclei, such as the structures that simulate the start of a motorcycle and a unique experience overlooking the engine in operation.
“The show leads to Santander’s Lighthouse the cultural vision of this attitude of freedom that motorcycles offer to their passionate users. While we deepen the history of the motorcycle, we meet little known facts such as the creation in 1895, in Germany, of Germany first motorcycle in the World “, Maitê Leite, institutional executive vice -president of Santander comments.
