The meeting took place in Canoas, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. The dog, who had lived with Hyuri eight years ago, was separated from his family when the barber’s house was hit by the flood. During the emergency exit, the family was divided to escape. Tiger ended with Hyuri’s grandparents, who sought refuge in the city emergency room.
However, at the time of rescue, the rescuers prevented the dog from being taken on the boat. With this, he ended up in the Palmira Gobbi refuge, which welcomes the animals saved during the tragedy, but renamed Jerri.
Since then, the barber has started a long journey in search of his partner. It was 13 months of tireless research. The hope was renewed when Hyuri found a photo of Tigre in a post on the profile of the refuge and contacted.
In the video published in the meeting, the refuge shared the audios sent by the tutor where he cries when he recognizes the animal. “I cry! You’re crying! Well,” said a Netizen. “His happiness in recognizing father,” another said.
