Different celebrities have joined, but use requires care
The expert explains the fever of adhesives used by famous as an instant beauty object
João Guilherme attracted attention to social networks by appearing in public using golden glasses, those drip adhesives applied in the dark circles region. The scene was seen first with other celebrities. Hailey Bieber, Sabrina Sato, Mariana Rios and Kim Kardashian are some of the names that have popularized the accessory as a symbol of car -cura and glamor. But do these stickers really satisfy what they promise?
For Thas Moura, a specialist in the harmonization of the face, the effect more concerns the image than the real clinical benefits. “The truth is that the famous eyelets concern more hydration and temporary aesthetic than any proven clinical effect,” he says.
How Eyepatch works
Products with hydrogels, stickers promise various results, such as the fight against dark circles, the reduction of bags, the stimulation of collagen and the softening of thin lines. In practice, however, delivery is often modest. “Maybe I’m a little skeptical, but I think they don’t deliver what they promise. They are refreshing stickers, almost always golden or sparkling that give that glamorous aspect, but the effect is momentary, not transformative”, underlines the expert.
Despite visual charm, glasses are useful. They help to hydrate and give the skin, thanks to ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and caffeine, which promote a slight divest. This effect is even more evident when the products are stored in the refrigerator.
Use requires precautions
Thaís warns, however, that use requires care. “Most stickers are well tolerated by all skin types, but those who have sensitive skin need further attention. The recommendation is always to opt for hypoallergenic formulas, without fragrance and dermatologically tested,” he says.
It is also important to observe the ingredients. “It is good to avoid very occlusive formulas or excessive oils, which can hinder pores or worsen the images of the acne,” he explains.
As for the frequency of use, the expert suggests moderation. Two to three times a week are enough to feel the specific effects. Excessive use can cause irritation, especially if the product has caffeine or acids in the formula.
In the end, stickers act as part of a ritual of beauty and car -but without non -realistic expectations. “It is a product that can bring punctual benefits, but it should not be seen as a treatment. Hydrates, refreshes and temporarily embellished, that’s all,” concludes Thaís Moura.
