“Who am I as a government or like anyone else to tell you what you should put in your bodies? Who am I to tell you what your children should put in your bodies? I don’t have so well,” said Lapado.

According to him, the Florida health department will work in collaboration with the governor Ron Desantis to conform to the measures. It was also announced on Wednesday 3 that the state government will create a commission called “Make America Healthy Again”, inspired by federal initiatives.

Currently, the state requires updated vaccines for students to attend public schools. “If you do not want to apply any vaccine to your body, God bless you. I hope you make an informed decision. This is how it should be,” concluded the general surgeon.

The president of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Susan Kressly, said in a public declaration worried about the impacts of the announcement.

“We are concerned that today’s announcement by Governor Denanttis put the children in the public schools of Florida at greater risk of getting sick and has side effects throughout the community,” said Kressly.
