The system used to detect infringements will now also help mentors find their pets

Cosecurity, a security tech startup, has created a collaborative system to help tutors find their pets. The system used to report possible infringements will now also be used to find lost animals.
The company’s network has more than a thousand cameras connected in about 350 points of the city. The startup operates mainly in the districts of Itaim, Jardins, Perdizes, Pacaembu, Sta. Corridor Cecília, Higienópolis, Faria Lima, Campo Belo, Gabriel Monteiro da Silva and Vila Nova Conceição.
The proposal is to make the entire network available as a reference point for the search for pets.
how the system works
The system works as follows: anyone who loses or locates a lost animal can go to a Cosecurity totem and scan the QR-Code on the equipment.
By accessing the site, it is sufficient to register the name of the tutor, the name of the animal, the photos and the description of the place where the animal was last seen. Anyone who spots a pet can follow the same route by entering the location of the sighting and contact details.
“The use of the QR-Code was originally designed so that anyone can report a crime or suspect to our Monitoring Center. And, from the start, it has proved to be an important communication channel with the company, with dozens of events already reported and forwarded to the Public Authority. Some customers have asked us for this new functionality and we have embraced the cause “, said the executive Luciano Caruso, General Manager and Co-founder of Cosecurity. The service will be free.
