Sunomono is a simple but delicious cucumber and sesame salad. By the way, did you know that the name “sunomono” has a direct translation as “preparation of pickled vegetables”?

Sunmono ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • sesame seeds to taste

Method of preparation

Cut the cucumbers into very thin slices. Season with salt and let it rest for 10 minutes. The cucumber will release a lot of water. Squeeze them to remove the water and drain them. Mix the rice vinegar and sugar. Add the cucumbers. Sprinkle the sesame in the amount you prefer.
